Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 27, 2026
Value Sports is a private place for a sports team’s families to watch that team’s games. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have. We try to collect as little as possible.
Who runs Value Sports
Value Sports (“we,” “us”) provides the app at valuesports.app. You must be 18 or older to create an account; you confirm this when you sign up.
Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account we collect your email address, a password (stored securely by our authentication provider, never in plain text), and a display name you choose. We record the date you confirmed you are an adult.
Teams and access
When you create or join a team we record which teams you belong to and your role on each team (owner, coach, or family). Joining a private team creates a request that a coach must approve; we keep a record of these requests and approvals so coaches can manage who has access.
Team content
- Game videos that coaches upload for their team.
- Roster information that a coach chooses to add — typically a player’s name and jersey number. Please keep this minimal.
- Game details a coach may add, such as opponent, date, location, and score.
Watch activity
To offer “continue watching” and to show which games you’ve finished, we save your playback position and whether you completed a game. We also record the total length of uploaded videos to measure a team’s storage and viewing usage (see “Usage” below). We do not build advertising profiles.
Videos and minors
Team game footage may show children who play on the team. Only adults hold accounts. Videos are private to a team by default: they are visible to that team’s approved members and are served with time-limited, signed links so they cannot be freely shared or indexed. A coach may create a limited guest link to a single game; guest links expire and can be revoked. If you are a parent or guardian and want a child’s footage removed, use the removal option described in “Your choices.”
How we use information
- To run the service: sign-in, team access, uploading, and watching games.
- To keep teams private and let coaches approve or remove members.
- To measure storage and viewing usage so we can operate the service.
- To respond to reports, removal requests, and support questions.
Service providers we use
We rely on a small number of providers to run the app:
- Supabase — stores your account, team, roster, request, and watch-progress data, and handles secure sign-in.
- Bunny Stream — stores and delivers uploaded game videos over a content-delivery network, using time-limited signed links.
- Our hosting provider — runs the website itself.
These providers process data on our behalf to provide the service. We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies and sessions
We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in and to keep your session secure. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Usage and metering
We record technical usage such as the duration of uploaded videos and a team’s storage totals so we can operate the service reliably and understand capacity. This is about team content and storage, not surveillance of viewers.
Data retention and account deletion
You can delete your account from Account settings. When you do, we end your team access and remove pending requests and unused invites tied to your account, and your personal profile data is deleted within 30 days. When a coach deletes a game, it is removed from view immediately and purged after a short retention window. Some records may be retained where required for security or legal reasons.
Your choices
- Update your display name, or delete your account, from Account settings.
- Ask a coach to remove you from a team, or a game from the team.
- Request removal of specific footage (including a child’s footage) using the in-app report and removal option, reachable from any game page and from Support.
